     First, Thank you for your support from the British Lift Industry.  As a proud American, we will not be AFRAID!!!.  This fight we are engaged in has been fought before, whether as a band of people forming a new country, (as you are well aware of that outcome) or as a band of UNION BROTHERS standing shoulder to shoulder fighting for what we believe in-AN HONEST AND FAIR CONTRACT-nothing more and nothing less.  Those before us endured to get us to were we are today, and we will fight for those who will come after us! 

                Took a trip to the Metro Mall in queens yesterday with my family,and right before we got off the up escalator it shut down,leaving alot of people stranded at the bottom,what a shame.NICE JOB SCABS AT THIS RATE YOU SHOULD HAVE THE WHOLE CITY SHUT DOWN IN NO TIME............

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Local One,

Having worked for Otis Elevator for over 10 years in the past.  I can tell you now there is no bleeding Otis green.  There is only Local One Blue in all our blood.  The fight that you are on now will have consequences for all now, and generations to come.  We in the Housing Authority have fought vigorously to right the past--with the help of Brother Tom Moore, to become part of the only Elevator Local in New York City.  Yours is a fight that will reflect upon the Elavator Industry forever.  We stand with you in solidarity and support until the end of the fight.  I have contacted all the members of our Elevator Division and we will stand strong with you. There is power and comfort in numbers.

Just wanted to update everyone on the great professional skilled personnel that are currently taking the food out of our families mouths. I was in the city and saw these buildings which are Schindler accounts (FOR NOW) with problems.

39 Broadway - (3) elevators shut down for a week and a half.

42 Broadway  - (2) elevators shut down for over one week.

61 Broadway - (2) elevators shut down and constant problems in different banks.

45 Broadway - (2) elevators shut down for over two weeks.

250 Broadway - constant repeat calls and freight car keeps shuting down.

140 Broadway - people complaining about elevators not leveling properly and stopping between floors. Freight car was also out while we were there.

If I were to sit here and type all the buildings addresses currently in these positions I would be here all night. However, I felt it was important to let everyone know what is currently going on with the qualified and highly skilled replacement workers currently in our buildings.

These are jobs which are currently in the hands of Schindler's so called skilled personnel. How skilled can these people be if they have problems like these over such a long period of time? If I was working these buildings I would have been told to work through the night to get these elevators running. So, if these buildings are getting the customer service they are paying for then why all the problems? Maybe these buildings should consider this before paying their next invoice.

I would think the building managers would be looking elsewhere for some truly qualified people to maintain these buildings. Maybe they should contact Local One for some references on a new company so they can once again get what they pay for or call Schindler and encouage them to get back to the tables and give us the fair contract we deserve. 7 7 7.

Hold the line, stay strong and stay united. Keep reporting to your captain for where you should report to each day.

I met with some of our leaders yesterday(Ray,Fred,and Lenny) and came away from that meeting with such confidence that I know we will prevail. The questions I asked were answered so directly that I really know who is Bull Sh--ting for sure. I hope you guys stick to your plan because the longer we stay out the stronger we have become. Thank you brothers for caring about US(Local One).

Yesterday in Edgewater tradesmen honoring our line, did the 'RIGHT THING' and we won't forget.The LOCAL 1 brother's were doing the 'RIGHT THING', BLDG MGNT putting up sign's telling the SCAB'S where to PARK, 'WRONG THING'!!!! If they can't figure that out, do you really want them working on OUR ELEVATOR'S?  

Big shoutout to our local 4 & 41 brothers that came to rally with us !!!! It means alot guy's , thank you...please check out our photo album we have pictures of you guy's there,under lockout 2005.

 To the brothers and sisters of Local 1 . Keep up the good fight stay strong  stay united. As a PROUD member of the IUEC Local 4 you showed us at the rally on 4-14-05 the true meaning of unity.

FYI..SCAB WATCH :   SCAB JOHN FRONDI [Otis yonkers construction supt. and former standby mechanic] is STILL driving SCABS to and from our jobs.Was seen driving today with two SCABS in tow. I just thought you UNION members out there who might still think he's your buddy would find this interesting. Might be time to reconsider, no?  P.S. What's the hurry, Johnny??

Everyone outside of Local 1 take notice! (This is a no brainer for NY)

We here on the left coast keep hearing the words "IN THE MIDDLE"  Otis tells my brothers and sisters "The Union" is putting you in the middle when we try to enforce the contract.

THERE IS NO MIDDLE!!!!!   YOU are the Union.  THEY are management.  If you don't comprehend that ask yourself who you are going to go to if you are laid off for ANY reason.  Who is working hard to keep the wages and benefits we have?  Your good old boss is not going to work to get you a job or make sure you are paid properly or care if your kids have medical insurance. 

If you feel you are in the middle shuffle your overworked body over to one side or the other.  You have a choice.  "Choose wisely Grasshopper" as the old TV show was fond of saying.  If you do not believe in your heart that the Union is the side you want to be on, the side where your friends are, you have my pity.

Local 1 deserves the thanks of the entire nation for showing us the true face of the EMANY.

    I ask why should these scum :Walker,Gutowski and Zaffiuto have any say in how we use our own money.And to top it off we pay them to be in this position not only to screw us out of work but now they're telling us we can't have our own money!!!!!!!!!!!I say its time for a change in our constitution.Throw these SCUM  out and replace them with three local 1 brothers or sisters,after all it is OUR money.....

Today we had a nice turnout at the rally outside Schindler's office. We all voiced our fellings about what we want. I believe they heard us loud and clear, as well as everybody else on 6th avenue. WE WANT A CONTRACT!!! We are not asking for anthing outrageous but EMANY is making outrageous demands. We need to support one another, support our leaders and be strong. We need to continue showing EMANY how strong and united we are. Remember there is no union without u and i . We will win this battle with EMANY! I would also like to thank the brothers and sisters from Local 41 and Local 4 who came and supported us today.

 just like to send thanks to our family at local 4.

Now back to those $#@*%#$  SCABS that are doing our jobs. I think that when we get back to work we should all bring a block of CHEESE for all scab, rat bastards for doing this to our families.Because we are such valued employees

 (leaving) is this all part of your contingency plan ! I can tell the independents thank you first the MEI / SCHINDLER merge disaster now a lockout way to go guys!! I also understand rock center isn't going so good there trying to get out of there contract so they can continue with there observation deck project. They also wont give there tenants a letter stating that their elevators are safe. Which they asked for due to the high rate of entrapments and the length of them guess rock management has no trust in your contingency plan!   Your valued employee!                                                                      

The Emany 'trustees'....now there is a contradiction in terms.Stay strong.
