This morning The Building Trades Organizing Task Force discussed this summer's activities.  We plan to be very active on the street.  We'll be kicking off "Street Heat 2005" on April 14th at Noon with a rally on 6th Ave. and 58th street.

Local 1 has shown what We can do on the street daily.

On April 14th we should come to the city in very large numbers.  We'll do our own rallies and demonstrations in the morning and then join the rest of The Trades for the lunchtime rally.  I'll set-up with The Business Agents and Picket Captains what the morning sites will be.

Brothers and Sister:

This is our third week of this lock out and we are still staying strong. The only thing is that there are to few fighting for the many. We need more of you on the streets with us. There is NO REASON for everyone not to make it out there a few times a week. Showing up at the big ones is great but it's the other days when we need you. I know many are saying they are waiting for someone to call them. That's bull you make the call. I know some are treating this like a vacation well it's not. We are LOCKED OUT get out there and fight for your job. If you were working outside of the city (in the outlying area) on a small job check them to see if anyone has been working on your job. If you are looking for some where to go check the steward list and get out there and save your job. Again thanks to all of the other Locals for your support it means alot.

I am from Local4 Boston besides the Redsox's being beat two out of three It has been a great time I have been in NY since Tuesday at the Otis office rally,Wednesday at the Newark Airport with the Jersey Guys and today at 1211 6th Ave and 48th.I have met alot of strong iuec members with upbeat attitudes to stay the course.

And know that we at local 4 are behind you and support your cause.I want to thank the members and officers of Local 1 FOR Allowing me to tag along and showing me the city. I will be back on Thursday the 14 with 2 bus loads of local 4 members to show our support at your next rally.

I spoke with my sister-n-law today. She is in the medical profession and she happened to be at St. Vincent's Hospital, one of Swindlers' jobs. She told me that there are at least SIX elevators that are out of service, maybe more. The SCABS were supposed to make entrapments and hospitals their priorities. It seems these pieces of S**t can't fix anything. I wonder how much longer EMONEY is going to keep lying to their customers by telling them that the replacement workers are trained professionals.

Just wanted to thank all the brothers and sisters who gave towards the collection we had for Brother John Meadus. We collected 2200 dollars and will be meeting with Johns wife Theresa thursday night. Also heard some great news , Johns daughter had a baby girl. I only worked with John a few times at JFK Airport but I knew his dad Teddy for almost 20 years. He came from great cloth.I knew from the few times I worked with John that he was a great Union brother and agreat family man .Please keep Johns family in your prayers and once again thank you for your genorisity during these times Respectfully submitted Brother Brian Link............ Brothers and sisters, today was the most up lifting day we as local one members have seen in a long time.if otis, swindler and kone think that we are not united in strenth, all they needed to do was look out there window and see what i saw,wich was a few hundred or so of our brothers and sisters chanting and yelling at the top of thier lungs.
