AA CREW tue.4/12/05 6.00am show up

Wanted to thank all the brothers and sisters who came out to the Courtyard @ Marriott @ LAGUARDIA AIRPORT. We came out in numbers at 9p.m.Special thanks to brother Mike Halpin for getting the word out .Stewards Steve Mazza, Brian Fielder and Richie Loeb were on hand and thank you for getting your groups out. Must say I was pleasantly suprized @ some new faces . Their were quite afew Otis scabs staying in the Hotel and we even were able to chat with some off duty cops " Scab Security" . We were able to get some nice closeup pictures of them and will send them out to the PBA associations who have told us that thet do not CONDONE security protection for people who are trying to replace locked out union brothers. Thank you for the NYPD who once again showed us respect and professsionalism, while we peacefully were educating  the public.Once again the riding publics safety is at risk.Also wanted to thank  the Laborers council who were staying at the hotel for their hospitality and SUPPORT. Hello Local 1

I'm a member of Local 8 (San Francisco ).

I don't E-mail very much, however I felt it important to let my brothers know that I am with you 1000% ( yes 1000% ).

In California there is a saying "As California goes,so goes the nation". NOT THIS TIME !!!

We know that what happens in New York,will greatly affect us in Local 8.

Thank You for carrying the ball for all of us.

                     A great show up at the Marriot in Queens on Sunday I got a call sunday morning from Dennis Maloney.I took my wife and kids and they loved it,they got to see what dad is doing out there,the noise level was tremendous,we had strong and enthusiastic crowd.The Steward from Marriot said if the Scabs were not out by Monday a.m. they would be walking out in support with us.Also the local 79 guys showed up,it was agreat feeling seeing all the Union brothers standing together.My little guy christopher 6 years old was really pissed,he said his Dad doesnt have a job so he cant get his Reeses Puffs,made me laugh out loud,Well thats about it STAY STRONG,STAY UNITED,THERE DAY IS COMING.UNION AND PROUD.........

The marriot was hard to find today,you have to get off grand central ( going west )and go left on 94th street, second light was 23 rd make a right and look for college,make a right turn  at the college which brings you back  on the service road to grand central,pull over ,park ,and scream scabs go home.

My wife has a friend who lives in one of our buildings in Marine Park, Brooklyn. Their elevator (only elevator) was out for three days last week. That would be unheard of if we were working. Keep up the good work SCABS! We need to all be out there regularly! We ain't gonna win this by sitting home. Stay strong and remember, the only way we can win this is together, and that means ALL OF US!

           The annual 2005 shareholders meeting for United Technologies Corporation ( who owns Otis Elevator), will be held on  Wednesday APRIL 13, 2005 AT THE CELESTE BARTOS FORUM OF THE NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY, FIFTH AVE & 42ND STREET,NEW YORK,NEW YORK.The doors will open at  1:30 P.M. and the meeting will begin at 2:00PM.

          I also would like to thank our Negotiating Committee , BA'S, and Shop Stewards.

Yesterday I went out informing the customer's of the big '3', all of the 20+ building's that I went to STILL, after 3 week's,were not notified by the companies 'who care soo much about them' of the situation at hand! Many were very upset that no PM's were being done that they are PAYING FOR! Phone's will be ringing come monday. All were very thankful that LOCAL 1 is out there informing,and understood why to stay with a LOCAL 1 SHOP!   Because WE care, we are the who they see,who do the work,who talk's to them face to face! BROTHER'S AND SISTER'S,if your not out on a line,PLEASE get out to the job's,talk to the customer's,PUSH for a LOCAL1 shop,we cant let non-union shops take our work!!!!

Hello brothers and sisters , thought I should say hello. Please if you aren 't sure about the so called rumors going on out there KEEP THEM TO YOURSELF . Alot of members feel compelled to share these rumors with the brothers and sisters. Many create alot of false hope and expectations!!!! You want my opinion??? Whether you do or not Im going to give it to you. Dont talk out of turn. Dont call your business agent directly unless your Shop Steward asks you to. Dont feel compelled to break the chain of commands set in place by Brother Ray Hernandez. If you are wondering what to do? Call your shop steward, he will be more then glad to tell you THE TRUE Facts and would be more then accomadating to also let you know where to go.As far as letting everyone know where to go? Please be smart enough to realize that believe it or not, their are as many NON LOCAL 1 members reading this sight! Call them who you want??? But they are not on our side! For any of the Schindler Long Island men that I havent heard from lately  I want you all to be at the rally Thursday ! For those of you here on Long Island that feel you are on vacation??? Be careful what you wish for .You can also show up, we would LOVE to see some new faces. To all our leaders in place WE ARE BEHIND YOU 100% We will win this fight! Local 1 is here to stay ! United WE Stand divided we beg . For those of you who have a computer and know whats going on pick up your phone and call someone or a couple of men you havent seen supporting our cause. good story...My mom and sister work in melville. they get in there elevator this morning to find someone working inside the elevator..My mother has the balls to tell them that this is an otis elevator and they were locked out by otis..what are you doing working on this elevator? they told her they were the maintence...She holds with her an old union card from my father before he passed away, so she keeps it in her wallet at all times..she proceedes to ask them if they have one of these? She pulls out my dads last union card..They said they were maintence for the building and they were onlly changing light fixtures in the elevator...But for those who know my mom and knew my dad we are a union family and always will be a union family....I thought that was awesome. Even got moms out their carding people..mom you are awesome keep up the good work...STAY STRONG THIS IS GONNA WORK OUT FOR US....I would like to give a shout out to BOB STORK, thanks alot for always being there for us through this and all through are crazyness at starrett city from the first day the job started..you are a gentelman and dammm proud you are representing us in this fight...you make it alot easier to fight this fight...THANKS BROTHER.

     I have unofficially heard (from various sources), that employees of New Jersey are collecting un-employment.  Don't worry fellow members, stay strong, and we will prevail!  The will of LOCAL 1 can"t be broken!  We must stay involved, focused, and continue to fight the fight!  Lets continue to get our message to all our customers, big and small.  After 3+ weeks, I'm sure the S#*t must be gettin real close to the fan.  Remember, our customers knowing the truth is our weapon against EMANY.  Thanks to all the other locals for their support.
