Otis already discriminates on a daily basis,they hear a rumor or an opinion and unfairly decide who's a star and who's not.Johnny clean cut gets the standby and supervisors  unfairly decide who they prefer working in there building all based on hearsay bull****.They are so clueless as to who there stars are.Take your time ,work safe but hurry up.Bite me.The people that I have had the privilege to work with have serious consciences,They look ,they listen,they check ,they measure,they watch everyones back,and they take pride in there work,now all of a sudden  no one is doing what they are supposed to do.Where are the bosses,?you mean to tell me the bosses don't know where there men are?They cant control people.?If you have a few slackers then otis should deal with them on a personal basis.Emany didn't give a crap when they locked me out,They didn't give a crap about my safety when I am almost living in a box under the Brooklyn bridge,they didn't give a crap,when I ripped my shoulder out pulling a wagon and hopping in and out of cabs all day at there request, throwing the wagon in the trunk every hour,no,they wanted to know what i did wrong.I tied my arm to the bumper and said cab driver ,hit it.They wanted to know what took so long to get from 96th and York to 42 and 9th.Anyone see the subways lately?Full gated turnstiles,how do you get your cart over that?The contract is not the worst and yes emany has had a separate contract for several years but they stepped it up,they locked us out,They stalled talks and tried to deny our children health care,They caused unjust pain and suffering and a horrible anger that will take years to overcome,so why do we have to take this first offering.?Well I ,we, can sit and vent all we want.Questions will be answered on Thursday and everyone can then no how they will vote.I have a surgery on Wednesday,I guess thats why I am a little wound up,nervous and thankful to all who helped keep us in health insurance.They are removing my twin.....lol (from my big fat Greek wedding)I know our leaders are tired and aggravated,I feel for them,I would not want to be them but we the membership,the non working membership have suffered greatly,May we exercise our right to say no,Can I be bought?Absolutely,........When Emany puts up 10 grand.

What happened to everything that has been yelled at the rallies and written here over the past 13 weeks?  Wasn't anything that everyone has been saying heard?  I was there and heard it and yelled it myself as the wife of one of your local brothers!  I cannot believe that Emany has gotten ALL that they wanted!  And then, had the nerve to insult all of you - Local 1 Brothers and Sisters - by assuming you would sign if they put a BRIBE on the table.  Of course they covered up the term BRIBE in their smoke screen way by calling it a bonus!!  We all know that there is no pride, respect, caring for people, in Emany but they sure are fooling themselves if they think these are lacking in Local 1 !!!  These are stronger than ever with all the Brothers and Sisters.  I know that this has been a very difficult 13 weeks for all of us but we (Brothers, Sisters and families), did not go through this for nothing!  Everyone wants what is fair - Emany sign the already existing contract that all the other companies have already signed - no one else had a problem with it and felt it was very fair to all so what is your BIG PROBLEM??  I know - GREED!!!

 Emany is over a barrel with losing more jobs. Now we just got put over a barrel too! So If we vote no to the contract are we now on STRIKE and we lose unemployment and are the working independents also on strike ??? Can anyone help answer with this!

After reading the "agreement" I must say how disappointed I am.  We have been out for 13 weeks for WHAT???  Emany got exactly what they have wanted and they have the audacity (balls) to insult us and our local by putting a BRIBE on the table - HOW DARE THEY!!!  Our union and our work are not about bribes - they are about pride and respect and hard work!!  I cannot believe that this BRIBE was allowed on the table and that this agreement is thought to be fair.  Another thing, we are ONE LOCAL not two!!!  One contract for all!!  Emany either signs the contract that all the working companies have already signed or Emany looses!  If this goes to a vote on Sunday the voting should only be for the Emany companies' brothers and sisters NOT the whole local.  Those working already have their contract!!  Also, why all of a sudden is Thyssenkrupp involved in this?  They are not part of Emany and our brothers and sisters working for them are working right now!

I keep reading on this page how we should go back to the table and at all the rallies we said this and that. EMANY did not want to meet us at the table. They waited up to 2 weeks sometimes before they sat down together. I remember yelling get back to the table. We did not want to give up our hoisting an I don't feel we did. Someone listed all kinds of stuff that we can now take up on the outside hoist. Yes that stuff can go on the hoist but it will not because many years ago we lost that. All that goes up with the crane. So we have no hoisting give backs. The 6,6,6 and 2.25 in the first year is not 7,7,7 but dam close. You tell anyone out there what kind of raise we got they will be shocked no one get anything close to that. The fitters local 638 got 4,4,4 in there pay only. We got it in our total package. What we got is not 7,7,7 but better than anyone else will get. GPS if you are going to be where you should be than who cares about that. It sounds like someone is trying to not work for there money. Flex time I think sucks also but Ray needed to make some moves to get us a contract. If that move and the mod moves gets us work in the next few years than its an good thing. All the talk about 2 different contracts is not true from what I have read. The has been an EMANY and Otis contract for at least 8 years with many different working rules. This contract is all the same working rules for everyone but the GPS. If this gets voted down like some of you are saying than we will all be out of work. Think of that we you go in there to vote Sunday. All you Brothers and Sisters that are working and who have not sent in your $250 for May and/or June.

Happy Father's Day, and while I wish it could be on a happier note, I'm sure by now you know what the story is with our "so-called" contract. Thought we said one contract, one vote. Thought we said no GPS, no second shift, no extended work hours, no giving up of hoisting. But this is just an opinion; interested in hearing yours.

When I needed help with a car I could not get a handle on I would just call my brother who would over the phone or coffee help me out. You would learn something new and the company would be that much better for it. I think those days will soon come to a end.

 That was a great post by brother John  M Barrett.As I sit here twisting myself in a knot over what to do,I read a great post like that and I realize for 3 months ,I have not worked next to a full hotel garbage dumpster in 100 degrees.I haven't helped hoist a generator up 3 flights and then over 3 machines blocking the way,I have not had to crawl through a secondary with machines running because the building manager said do not shut down another car,That would inconvenience the tenants  coming back with there ice cold mochachocalattes.I haven't been locked in a stairwell lately nor have I been denied a bathroom,you know the one you sneak in but some tenant calls the building and say someone with grease was in my bathroom so now its  closed and padlocked. so to otis i have to ask What is your problem?people have been working like dogs for you for years and years.they have received plaques from you.Now these same people need to be watched like criminals?Listen I hear ya with the 6-9,I hear ya with some construction jobs being manned 8 hours,I know this comes from the Turner  Gc"s but to all the rest of the garbage....I say what we been chanting all along.....take your gps and ......... it................The thought of going back was nice...it passed,so to the working and the non working please vote no,I will give some of my unemployment  to you and anything else I can do to help bare the burden .One contract for all.And now i am taking a zanax and going to bed. in solidarity, your twisted sister.

FIRST- INSTEAD OF THE 7% INCREASES, WE NOW HAVE 6% ( not terrible but we had them at 7%)

SECOND- NO G.P.S. OKAY IT'S ONLY FOR ENAMY WORKERS RIGHT NOW, BUT IT'S A FOOT IN THE DOOR OF A SINGLE CONTRACT FOR ALL.

THIRD- NO SHIFT WORK, NOW THAT ENAMY HAS COME TO THE TABLE WE ALL HAVE FLEX START EVEN CONSTRUCTION IN EXISTING BUILDINGS.

FOURTH- NO HOISTING CONCESSIONS, NOW WITH ENAMY AT THE TABLE NOT ONLY CAN WE STAGE WITHIN 100' OF THE STREET USING THE OUTSIDE CAR, IT LOOKS TO ME THAT ALL THE MOTOR ROOM EQUIPMENT (except the trought) MACHINES, CONTROLLERS, MACHINE BEAMS ( EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE TROUGHT )CAN BE BROUGHT UP ON THE OUTSIDE CAR AS WELL.

I'D like to send my prayers to the Haynes family.I have posted before ,My son was born without lungs, They hooked him up to an experimental machine that acted as his lungs and heart.He was the 8th baby in the world to be on this machine. They gave him less than a 5% chance of surviving.All my Brothers, friends and family were there for me. We all prayed ,God heard our prayers,and a miracle was made.16 years later ,he is a normal child.I am convinced that the power of prayer saved his life.I will continue to pray for you and your family..Now the contract-I no Ray and the boys did the best they could, considering what they were dealing with.I accept 666 and some of the changes .I cant accept 2 contracts for 1 local. Happy Fathers Day to All!

I have one question...

Why can't the vote on June 26th be to ratify the existing contract that this  D~I~V~I~D~E~D  UNION had 3 months ago and give the "Big 3"

THE BIG BOOT so every one can go on with the lifestyle they are accustomed to  EXCEPT the BIG 3.

Their lifestyles might start going a little downhill with all those lost contracts. I think they should feel what it's like to be Locked Out.

If they are allowed to have 4 more years to finish this vendetta, I don't think the Union will be divided any longer. WE WILL ALL be in the same sinking ship.
