Brothers and Sisters,

I listened to Brother Hernandez read the contract last night, as well as receiving my copy in the mail today.  There are things I don't like.  But we must remember that Ray and the rest of the negotiating commitee fought hard to bring us what they believe is the best they can.  We are all entitled to our opinions. Read the contract.  Take time to digest it.  Post your opinions rationally.  We all like to hear what each other is thinking; that's what union is all about.  Bring your questions to the meeting next Thursday, and vote on June 26 with your heart.  Remember, lets stay focused, the fights not over yet.  Unforunately, we can never get back what we lost in 1997.  Sometimes you can only move on...

     Stay strong!

          Brother Paul Agnello

There are only two ways I'll vote yes for that piece of crap....

NO WAY, AND NO F#$%^&-n WAY.

Sorry Ray, I know you tried.

Now It's a strike!!

The raise sucks. Does anyone think the raise is worth the work rule changes, much less keep up with a consumer price index of 4.8%?

The work rule changes suck.

trading that stuff was worth good money not that chump change. I'M TALKING $5.00 an hour for everyone not just the ones screwed by the terms of some clause.

I'd rather frame houses forever than actually vote yes to the end of my f-n- life.

WHAT THE F#%^& DIDN'T YOU UNDERSTAND ABOUT NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

STRIKE YOU BALL-LESS WONDERS. I'm locked out, I can take it.

I'm not afraid, tell them to stick it! I'll go another 3 months and if that dont do It, I'll go three f#$^&* -n- years!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stick the f-#$^&* signing bonus up your goddamn asses.

What the f@#$^&* is gps doing in there?

What the f#$^&*( is hoisting changes doing in there?

What the f$%^&* are shifts doing in there?

NOT just in service but MOD too! Without a goddamn day shift too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats the worst Damn contract I ever freaking saw.

F$#^&*-n-  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brothers & Sisters,

I understand some members will want to express their views and opinions on the tentative agreement with EMANY on this page. When posting about the tentative agreement, I am asking all members to use their full name and e-mail address and confine their comments to the agreement. Please do not post negative comments to or about members who do not agree with your point of view. This has not been the case so far, I just want to avoid any problems before they happen.

G.P.S. = Vote NO

Flex start = Vote NO

Hoisting giveback = Vote NO

Less than 7% per year = Vote NO

Remember no dept should take a hit, thats the game they play. Steal from one dept so the other two say "that doesn't affect me". It does because your dept will be in the next contract. Stay strong, stand together!

The temperature on the street is rising, and they miss being clean and cool in an a/c office!

Just My opinion, and it hasn't changed

Brothers and Sisters,

I got my copy of the proposed contract today. It is with great sadness and disappointment I write this. It seems ALL the things we felt were important to fight for are going to be taken away from us. We will have new rules for hoisting, GPS is going to be allowed, 8 hour workday in construction,Shift work, etc.

I CANNOT in good conscience vote for this, I hope I'm not alone. I appreciate the business is changing, but it's too much too fast for me. The $2250 is an insult, they dangle a carrot and tempt us with it. I hope we will not be fooled. For those of you suffering and seeing the money as your salvation, you are in my thoughts and prayers but, please remember what we give away is forever the money won't last nearly that long.

Finally I want to say "thank you" to our negotiating team. I know in my heart you all did the best you could but, NO to the contract.

Regards,

Andy

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO THANK THE NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE FOR A JOB WELL DONE. NOT ONLY DID THEY BRING ME A CONTRACT TO VOTE ON THAT SECURES MY FUTURE AND THE FUTURE OF LOCAL ONE, BUT A CONTRACT THAT I AM PROUD OF.I HAVE PERSONALLY SPOKEN TO A FEW GUYS IN OTHER TRADES THAT WERE AMAZED AT WHAT WE ARE GOING TO RECEIVE VERSES WHAT WE GAVE UP. IN A TIME OF EVERCHAGING TECHNOLOGY AND CORPORATE GREED OUR NEGOTIATING TEAM STOOD TOE TO TOE WITH THE BIG THREE AND CAME OUT VICTORIOUS. I FOR ONE APPLAUD YOU FOR YOUR DEDICATION TO THE FUTURE OF OUR TRADE AND OUR UNION.

An early happy fathers day to all the local one,4,8,10 and every other elevator constructor Dad.Not to any one at Emany, cause if any of you were my dad I would volunteer to kick my own ass............... but here is a beautiful song for all you union  Dads to enjoy this fathers day.

                     Butterfly Kisses
   ------Jeff Carson

There's two things I know for sure.
She was sent here from heaven, and she’s daddy’s little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night,
She talks to Jesus, and I close my eyes.
And I thank God for all the joy in my life, But most of all...
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair.
"Walk beside the pony daddy, it’s my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, daddy, but I sure tried."
Oh, with all that I’ve done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.

Sweet sixteen today.
She’s looking like her momma a little more every day.
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and makeup, from ribbons and curls.
Trying her wings in a great big world. But I remember...

Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you daddy, but if you don’t mind,
I’m only going to kiss you on cheek this time."
With all that I’ve done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.

All the precise time.
Like the wind, the years go by.
Precious butterfly, spread your wings and fly.

She’ll change her name today.
She’ll make a promise, and I’ll give her away.
Standing in the bride room just staring at her.
She asked me what I’m thinking, and I said, "I’m not sure,
I just feel like I’m losing my baby girl."
Then she leaned over... and gave me...

Butterfly kisses, with her mama there.
Stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair.
"Walk me down the aisle daddy, it’s just about time."
"Does my wedding gown look pretty daddy?" "Daddy don’t cry."
With all that I’ve done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses.
I couldn’t ask God for more, man, this is what love is.
I know I’ve gotta let her go, but I’ll always remember.
Every hug in the morning, and butterfly kisses...

First off I'd like to send my prayers to Brother Haynes and his family.     About 16 years ago my son was born with a birth defect. The doctors told us he had less than a 5% chance of surviving ,and if he did, he would be severely retarded. All my friends,Brothers, and family prayed for him . Those first 6 months was touch and go.He also had no movement on his left side from a stroke he suffered. Well 16 years and 9 operations later,  he"s a black belt in karate, playes baseball, and is on the honor roll.I believe in my heart it was the power of prayer, and God heard them. Brothers and Sisters I believe the power of prayer saved my Son's life ,please all of us pray for Brother Haynes ,just 30 seconds of your time and The man upstairs will hear  all our prayers.  SKYDIVE STEVE  _ KEEP THE  FAITH

Those scabs are still out there. Caught (and photographed) two otis scabs on the outside escalators at 787 7th ave. Later, I caught 3 otis scabs, with their armed goons, working on an escalator at the Port Authority bus station, (UNSAFELY!!, AGAIN!!). Photos to follow soon.

2:05 PM, Wednesday. Irv and Barrett walking into the otis office laughing and smiling. I guess they heard that they won't be fired for this debacle. Although, with all the safety violations (pictures available) someone should lose their job. Safety first, unless it's second or third or overlooked altogether.
