Honesty was NEVER part of the business plan was it?

Of course not, that would be costly.

So please dont' send me any more propaganda, but admit that the only cause of this insane corporate suicide is you, Emany, and your greed.

KEEP THE FAITH, BE STRONG, AND SUPPORT OUR NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE AS THEY EXPRESS THE WILL OF THE UNION,  US!!!

Every time that ENEMY updates their website, I am compelled to open the door and scream "YOU LOCKED US OUT, MORONS!!!!" They claim to to know how much I've lost? Let's see..

As a service mechanic working an average of 15 hrs. a week o/t, I lost an additional  $4500.00, approx.  Under their schmucko proposal, guess what? I STILL lose the same $4500.00!!

They claim that the union is keeping us out of work..

First, Mr. Walker and cronies, get it straight: WE ARE THE UNION!!  Our leaders are following the will of US!!  Secondly, you typical mindless twit lawyer, YOU, YOU, YOU LOCKED US OUT!!! Is that good business? Yes, if you are Thyssen-Krup, Transel, City, or any of the other signatories that are taking your work!

Local 3 and non-union shops are NOT taking your contracts, these signatories are. Ah, but honesty was NEVER

To All Members of Local 1 and Int'l

We r into the 7th wk of a lockout and no signs of  an end.  I'm sure your thinking Why should we support the UTC when we r being treated so unfairly?! Perhaps you may want to consider the following proposition:

Members working Internationally rather than leaving you 401k in the greedy hands of UTC consider selling your UTC stock.

Those of us still locked out, should roll over your 401k into a private retirement fund.

My thoughts come in lieu of the recent UTC Quarterly Earning report and the apparent GREED of the CEO, George David.  It bothers me to support UTC in any way.

As a united front we can make a difference!

EMANY claims that the Brothers & Sisters out of work have lost between $8,00 - $9,000.

This should  be made up in no time with the OVERTIME (not shift work) that it is going to take to fix all the mistakes & F'UPS these incompetent scabs have made trying to fill our shoes.

STAY STRONG & BEST WISHES TO ALL THE BROTHERS & SISTERS FIGHTING THE FIGHT.

It s a damn shame that these three companies don t have enough respect for us to admit that this whole "LOCKOUT" was planned .They would like people to believe that we were the cause and that they had no choice. That is very typical .Even down to Otis`s safety policy, the only reason they stress safety is to have the ability to blame us if someone gets hurt.

I work with very skilled and very dedicated mechanics and apprentices in our Plainview office. It`s sad that we will probably never have that same feeling of dedication again.

I understand that this is a business, and that a profit must be made. However I think that you are only as profitable as the men and woman you have out there doing a top notch job.I don`t think that all of this bad blood is the way to go about it.I hope  that Emany will begin to realize that we are their biggest assets and start treating us as such.

There seems to be alot of talk about Emany's website. Me personally, I don't read it any more, with all that's on my mind lately I don't need any more B__LSH_T! I hear talk like some people want us to go back to work while we negotiate. That's what we wanted to do in the first place. THEY LOCKED US OUT! Now, in our seventh week they're losing jobs, losing some of their top men, importing scabs from around the country and paying for security for them too and they're still not negotiating. What makes you think that they'll negotiate then. They are trying to bring us to our knees. STAY STRONG, STAY TOGETHER, WE WILL WIN!

He is going for tests today and hopefully gets good results. Let's all say a prayer for him and wish him a fast recovery.

Stay strong brothers and sisters.

The truth of the matter is that Emany could still have the men & women of Local 1 working while working on a new contract. This would mean many things.

1- They get to keep many jobs that have now been lost to other companys.

2- They get to keep the same people working that they had before. I know some that will not return and some that have plans to work elsewhere.

3- The saftey and maint of the elevators will stay intact.

4- You know what you had, but do you know what you are getting.

The list can go on and on.

I got to ask, WHY? WHY would anyone still have one of these vans in front of your house for 7 WEEKS? WHY WHY WHY? You should have put the van in a parking garage in NYC. That might of cost them(I know some of you still think that they are your friends) some money. Where it hurts!!! Please my friends, remember who are the bad guys here. You are going to look alot cooler in your new car then driving around in YOUR company van with a GPS with them knowing that you stopped at K-mart on the way home. Smarten up people.

I just read the MEANY website update. They just don't get it!! They tell you what the LOCK-OUT has cost each member, but not what you would lose if you give into their demands. My father and uncles all have been through strikes[not one a lock-out ] and they can tell you ,it is not only about us, its about the future of our industry. I am proud they stood their ground years ago for us!!!! NOW IT IS OUR TIME TO TOW THE LINE!  We must stand together for us and the future . Together we can not lose!!!!!!!!!

Wow how wonderful is Peggy Bender !!!!!We are locked we are out of work. How do certain people respond? Well if you are Peggy Bender " you dont complain, you ask what can I do?". I just signed on and was overwhelmed reading her post. I never worked with her husband Ray Bender , but I was introduced to him when I became involved in the Tradesmen Organization in 1985. It was of no coincidence that I was introduced to Ray by Ed Halpin " may Ed rest in peace". You may or may not know Ed Halpin , but If you have been at any union function in the past 15 years you should know of his son Mike Halpin. I write this post for this reason , we all have 24 hours in a day, Its what we chose to do with OUR day. I met Peggy at a rally or 2 and always let her know HOW PROUD I AM OF WHAT SHE IS DOING FOR LOCAL 1. When you meet a good man with good values, their is always a wonderful woman at his side. I am extremely grateful for the people I have met in my 23 plus years at Local 1. If you know me personally , I am a very positive person . If you react to situations "YOU ARE NEGATIVE" , but if you respond to situations "YOU ARE POSITIVE". Its 730p.m. Friday night what have you done to be POSITIVE ? Forget EMANY and their position , Instead what are you going to do? react or respond? Stay involved stay informed, stay in touch with your stewards, reach out at work , at home or In your everyday life and ask someone, What CAN I DO FOR YOU? GOD BLESS PEOPLE LIKE PEGGY BENDER!!! We will prevail, we will survive , we will continue to educate the public of the true facts. WE ARE HERE TO STAY! I am grateful for my health, my family and my friends here at Local 1 and all the locals around the country. I am grateful for OUR ELECTED officials who work unconditionally to obtain and negotiate in good faith on behalf of us brothers and sisters at Local 1 "WORKING OR LOCKED OUT". I just received a letter from a local representive from Suffolk County , she asked what can I do? SO I CALLED HER, I spoke to her and told her we in NY state need more protection from this corporate greed situation we need to get this Safety bill passed . Their is a difference between a lockout and a strike .We need people know we will continue to fight for what we deserve , so we can see our families . So we can show America what family values are all about. We need to continue to reach out to other Unions and Non union members and show what we are all about! Respectfully submitted Brother Brian Link AKA Captain America . My message is never short! But for those who read this Local guestbook whether you are union or management . Thanks for reading and paying attention . GOD BLESS . AS ALWAYS A PROUD LOCAL 1 MEMBER

Why can't you post a chart and graph of how many job's you lost us...or how about how much money you are spending on security for your scabs.....or how much money at the end of the year we are going to lose if we sign your contract....you see emany we are not stupid people ,that 8,000 dollors you say we lost is nothing compared to what we will lose if we sign your suckass contract....so you heard this before ....all thousand's of us "take your contract and shove it .
